The nonprofit rescue organization brought these animals to Virginia so that Puerto Ricans can focus on rebuilding what was left of their homes after the hurricane, the website said.
Founder and executive director of Lucky Dog Animal Rescue Mirah Horowitz said that these pets can be adopted and will respond better to Spanish commands, WTOP detailed.
